CANOEING IRELAND

Canoeing Ireland was formed in 1960 and is registered as a limited company in order to provide liability protection for its members. It is recognised by the Irish Sports Council and the Olympic Council of Ireland (OCI) as the governing body of the sport and recreation of canoeing in Ireland. It is affiliated to the International and European Canoe Federations.

Jenny Egan won a Canoe Sprint World Cup bronze medal in the K1 5000M in the summer of 2018, and at under-age level Ronan Foley had two stand out performances winning a silver medal in the junior K1 at the canoe marathon World Championships in Portugal and winning the B Final of the Junior K1 1,000M at the Canoe Sprint World Junior and Under-23 Championships in Bulgaria.
