Malcolm is a multiple All Ireland Track Cycling Sprint Medallist, Irish 500m Record Owner and has competed in several World Master’s Championships. He was Captain of Ireland’s pioneering pro track team (Team Newlyn M&G) for 6 years and was a member of the Pinarello RT Pro Team for 3 years. He has competed on velodromes all over the world, completed 2 tours of Ireland and managed the winning Pro Tour of Ireland (2009) and Race Around Ireland (2012) and has a large network of connections. He is on the board of Track Cycling Commission of Ireland & The Board of the UCI Dublin International Track Race.

In academia the story is similar a BSc in Innovation from Technical University Dublin, a Diploma and MBA from University College Dublin, where Malcolm is now a mentor of the current MBA Program at Smurfit School of Business.

Malcolm works as a European Director of the worlds largest integrated Bio Pharmaceutical Process Manufacturer. He is Chairperson of the COVID ALLIANCE (PPE Work Stream) which is the Pharma Industry’s response to the CV 19 Emergency.

Malcolm has been a serial entrepreneur with two start-ups under his belt, one based at the NDRC, and each exited successfully.

He enjoys family time with his wife and two boys.
