Torrey Craig is an American professional basketball player from Columbia, South Carolina who plays for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the University of South Carolina Upstate where he was named an honourable mention All-American and Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year in 2012. Torrey came to USC Upstate from High School in South Carolina, after winning 1A state Player of the Year honors in his senior season. As a freshman, he entered the starting line-up and quickly made an impact, averaging 14.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per game en route to winning Atlantic Sun Conference Freshman of the Year honors. Prior to the start of his senior season, he was named preseason Player of the Year in the Atlantic Sun. After graduation, he headed to Australia and signed with the Cairns Taipans for the 2014–15 NBL season, recommitting with the club for the 2015–16 season.
In 2015 he signed with the Wellington Saints for the New Zealand NBL Season, going on to re-sign with them for the 2016 season and lead them back to the Grand Final where, with a 15-point effort, he helped the Saints claim their ninth NBL title with a 94–82 win. He appeared in all 20 games for the Saints in 2016, subsequently earning him All-Star Five honors for the second straight year. In 2016, he signed a two-year deal with the Brisbane Bullets, a team re-joining the NBL for the 2016–17 season after an eight-year hiatus. At the NBL’s end-of-season awards night, he was named the recipient of the NBL Best Defensive Player Award and earned All-NBL Second Team honors. In 2017, he signed with the Gold Coast Rollers for the Queensland Basketball League season before returning to the United States to join the Denver Nuggets for NBA Summer League. He went on to sign his current two-year contract with the Nuggets in 2018.
